Objectives of the PRINCE2 Training and Certification Program

The PRINCE2 training course will provide students with a detailed knowledge of the PRINCE2 methodology including the seven processes, seven themes and seven principles central to running a project using the method. The successful completion of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam will give the delegate a recognized Foundation qualification. The Foundation level measures whether a student would be able to act as an informed member of a project management team using the method within a project environment supporting PRINCE2. The foundation level is also a pre-requisite for the practitioner certification.

The purpose of the Practitioner certification is to confirm whether you understand PRINCE2 well enough to be able to apply and tailor the methodology in a scenario situation. You should, with suitable direction, be able to start applying the method to a real project but may not be sufficiently skilled to do this appropriately for all situations.

Who should attend?

This qualification is aimed at Project Managers and aspiring Project Managers. It is also relevant to other key staff involved in the design, development and delivery of projects, including: Project Board members, Team Managers, Product Delivery Managers, Project Assurance, Project Support, Project and Programme Office personnel and operational line managers and staff.
